My name is Marco Simioni. I come from Italy and I was born in 1987, the year of the Big Crash.

I first approached trading when I started studying Economics while in University Ca Foscari in Venice in 2007, just one year before the big subprime crisis. I then graduated in Marketing and Management in 2010 and in Finance and Risk Management in 2013.
My academic background provided me the ability to study the market from a mathematical, statistical and econometric perspective, as well a solid foundation in all investment theories from those of H. Markowitz on.

I worked as a financial adviser for an Italian bank. Now I am a private financial advisor.

I’m very keen on sports, I’ve swum with a professional team for six years and I am actively training in tennis and kung fu.

Among my other passions is astronomy. I have a refracting telescope of 120 mm and a Dobson reflector telescope of 250 mm. I’ve been an amateur astronomer since I was 15 years old.

I find it amusing that the main style of my trading is focused on overnight market behavior:  dots in the nightime financial sky connected by time.

Recently, I helped a close friend, Mark Coltrow to write his first novel in italian:
